Let's explore mysterious Lydian sounds!

This is an experiment using Lydian b7 scale. I composed a song to play rhythm and solos with this rare scale.

This mode is a favourite of many modern rock guitar players like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci etc. The backing track is in A Lydian tonality and has been inspired by Joe Satriani's Summer Song.

Lydian mode is almost the same thing as major scale/ionian mode. The only difference is sharp 4th in Lydian mode. This lesson is riffing only, using downstrokes only most of the time to get that powerful metal like sound.
